Annalee F. Rowe (94) a lifelong Toppenish resident passed away on Wednesday October 11, 2017 at Toppenish Community Hospital. Annalee was born in Toppenish on October 5, 1923 to Jess and Vera Derrey. She was raised and educated in Toppenish. She remembered fondly working at the Liberty Theater after high school for 10 cents an hour before becoming a telephone operator. She was a count clerk for JC Penney in Toppenish and was an office worker at Del Monte. In the late 1950's she and her husband started Courtesy Coin-Op in the dry cleaning business before expanding into self service laundry in the lower valley and Yakima. They eventually ventured into the car was business in the mid 1960's. Annalee's work was a big part of her life, she also enjoyed bowling and golfing. She retired in 2011. She is survived by three sons, Curtis (Jo) of Marysville, Russell "Buck" (Liz) of Hollywood, FL and David of Zillah; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971; one brother and a sister. Visitation will be on Monday and Tuesday October 16 & 17th from 1-4PM at Colonial Funeral Home. Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
