Frances "Sunshine" Northover

Frances “Sunshine” Northover (41) of Yakima passed away Tuesday May 7, 2019 outside of Toppenish as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Frances was born on February 1, 1978 in Yakima, WA. She was raised and educated in Union Gap and Tribal School and worked as a stocker for Wal-Mart in Bellingham for the last 10 years. Previously, she worked as a card dealer at Legends Casino and at a fruit warehouse in Bellingham. She enjoyed reading, yard sales, computers, furthering her knowledge, and tribal potlucks. She is survived by her parents, David Northover and Donna Sargeant; step-dad, Edward Andy Sr., six children, Cyrelia Pete, Alexander Pete, Mariah Jefferson, Marlaneh Jefferson, Shoshanna Tahkeal, and Rayma Tahkeal; one grandchild; four brothers, Dawn Andy, Charlotte Andy, Edward Andy Jr., Mary Northover; and one sister, Athena Sargeant. Dressing services will be held at the Toppenish Longhouse on Friday May 10, 2019 at 1PM. Funeral procession will leave the Toppenish Longhouse at 7AM Saturday for burial at the Blackwolf Cemetery. Heggie's Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
