Maria S. Bocanegra was born on May 12, 1946 in Santa Maria del Rio, Mexico to Guadalupe and Lucina (Hernandez) Bocanegra. Maria was raised Catholic and loved to play bingo, watching her television shows, listening to music and her weekly outings to clean. She is survived by 4 brothers, Juan Bocanegra, Guadalupe Bocanegra Jr., Jose Bocanegra, Pedro Bocanegra, and 4 sisters, Maria Olvera, Gloria Flores, Isabel Vargas, Francisca Bocanegra, and numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 10 to 12:30PM at Heggie's Colonial Funeral Home; with Rosary at noon. Burial will follow at 1PM at Elmwood Cemetery.
