Shirley E. Windsor

December 17, 1945 - May 17, 2019

Shirley E. Windsor (73) of Yakima passed away on Friday May 17, 2019 at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital. Shirley was born in Poplar Bluff, MO on December 17, 1945 to William and Lillie Mae (Armstrong) Collins. As a young girl her family moved to Buena where she was raised. She attended school in Toppenish. Shirley will be remembered for her fun loving attitude, her blue eyes and her infectious smile and laugh. She enjoyed country music, traveling and taking cruises. Shirley's deep love for her family and life in general will be remembered by all that knew her and she will be forever remembered in our hearts. Shirley worked for Super Duper Grocery, Ace Hardware, owned and operated Little Johns Tavern in Toppenish for 15 years, flagged for road construction and was a sales associate at Macy's. Shirley is survived by her husband, Buster Windsor; two daughters, Sandra (Earl) Dahlstrom, Cheryl (Tim Walker) Parsley and step-daughter, Shana Brown; son, Ritch (Kaitlin) Fowler) and step-son, Stan Windsor; a brother, James Collins; and two sisters, Susan Brestar and Sherrie Bushman. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and a granddaughter. Visitation will be on Tuesday May 21, 2019 from 12-4 at Heggie's Colonial Funeral Home.
