Darian Olivia Arquette

Darian Olivia Arquette – SupSusLute – was born on Wednesday, July 5, 1995, in Yakima, Wash. to Michelle T. Strom and Ira James Arquette. She started her heavenly journey on Friday, July 24, 2026, while in her Wapato, Wash. home after a becoming a fierce advocate for life, while suffering from epigastric carcinoma – cancer. She was continually surrounded by friends and family members who offered prayers, Wa’ashat and Indian Shaker songs. From the beginning, Darian was an emotional fighter. After being born with a hole in her heart, and after strong prayers and immediate baptism, she returned to the doctor and the hole was healed. Her families gave all the glory to God. Darian would be intensely competitive on playgrounds and on basketball courts – even though she would be the shortest player on the team. She carried that fearlessness and courage when diagnosed in September 2025 with the disease. Darian did not back down from the confrontation set before her – inspiring all her friends and family. She readily and bravely put forth her well-known smiling and bubbly character throughout her precious life. Darian attended the Granger and Toppenish school districts and graduated alongside her sister, Jonet, from Yakama Nation Tribal School – ow-nah Xwyama! She worked at Yakama Legends Casino & Hotel, 2016-2024 and most recently with the Yakama Nation Property & Acquisition Department. She made many friends along the way. In Summer 2012, she gave birth to her beautiful son, Jasper James Arquette and she enjoyed every moment of his life. After a few years, she had Leveya Ann Ellenwood, Isiah Yawimah Ellenwood II and Jax Tristen Ellenwood (her Bubba) – they all kept her happily busy with school activities and sports – she loved to cheer them as one of their biggest and loudest fans. When she was born in 1995, she joined her brothers, Stephen Strom and Jordan Arquette, and later, was followed by her little sister, Jonet and then her brother, Josiah. Darian and her siblings carried a very uplifting strong bond throughout her life, and which gave her special relationships with her nephews and nieces, Cameron Strom, Tyler Boo-Boo Strom, Mathew Smartlowit, Kaycee Lee Smartlowit, Tate John Smartlowit, Jessylynn Arquette, Leann Arquette and Percy Strom. Also, Tots Gamboa and Joel Chavez. Among family members welcoming Sup-suss-lute into heavenly arms are her father, Ira James Arquette, her maternal grandparents, Harriet Washines Strom and Leon C. Strom, her great grandparents, Lena Meninick Phillips and Edward C. Washines, and Theordore Sr. and Lillian Strom, her paternal grandparents, Nancy Jasway Arquette and William Arquette, her aunts, Darlene Lou Arquette, Mary Charlene Garcia and Sarah Lillian Arquette, her uncles, Seymour William Arquette, Ronald McJoe Arquette, Jeffery Wayne Arquette, Rommel Lee Strom and Jeffrey Dana Strom, her grand aunts, Sheila Strom, Angeline Phillips, her grand uncles, Jasper Washines, Clifford Cassesseka, Davis Washines Ernie Washines, Ted Strom, Jr., Larry Strom, Donald “Ducks” Strom, Matthew Tomaskin, Leonard Tomaskin, Jr., Patrick Tomaskin, her great grand uncles, Raymond “Jimmy” Watlamet, Leonard Tomaskin, Raymond Shike, James Shike, her numerous, cousins, nieces and nephews. Darian’s Dressing Service was held on Monday, July 27, 2026, in Heggie’s Colonial Funeral Home, Toppenish, Wash. before being transported to the Satus Indian Shaker Church, Indian Church Road, Granger, Wash. for overnight religious services. Sunrise burial services were held on Tuesday, July 28 in the Smohalla (Satus Point) Cemetery, Plank Road, Toppenish, Wash.
